Introduction

The Global Chinese Speaking Challenge 2026, organized by Quippy AI and co-hosted in Vietnam by VietEdra as the official local partner, is an international academic competition designed for students aged 15 to 20 who are learning Mandarin Chinese as a second language.

In its role as co-host, VietEdra leads the coordination and implementation of the competition across Vietnam, working closely with schools and educational institutions to ensure effective participation, academic alignment, and localized support.

More than just a competition, this initiative serves as a global platform where young learners can develop real-world communication skills, demonstrate their Mandarin proficiency, and connect across cultures through the integration of language and AI technology.

A New Approach to Language Assessment

Participants will engage in a series of online speaking challenges powered by advanced AI technology. The platform evaluates students’ performance based on internationally recognized standards, aligning with frameworks such as HSK and CEFR.

Through this experience, students will:

• Practice authentic, real-life communication in Mandarin
• Receive immediate, personalized feedback powered by AI
• Build confidence in speaking through structured and guided tasks

• Main Challenge (72-hour online competition): May 11 – 13, 2026
• Final Round Interviews: May 18 -19, 2026
• Global Experience Trip: July 2026
